Personality:
Okay, you cunts. Let's see what you can do now.
Having been trained in all the ways to horribly maim and kill people since early childhood, Mindy is harsh and ruthless in a fight, and determined as all hell. When it comes to working with someone else, she has little patience and a whole lot of derision for those not as skilled as she.

I hate getting punched in the chest.
Despite the pleasure she takes in beating the bad guys, Mindy does sometimes want to be a normal kid. She likes Hello Kitty as much as she likes Clint Eastwood movies and is way more excited about going out for ice cream than she is about fighting crime. But being normal not always easy for her--often, it's something she has to consciously try to do. For about the first twelve years of her life, it was all Hit Girl, all the time. The mild-mannered alter-ego was the disguise, not the masked crimefighter, and now that her father is dead, it's switched.

Can I have a hug? My daddy just died.
Mindy's father was, for the majority of her life, the only person who saw her when she was just Mindy. The only person who saw her get scared or happy or sad. And he was the only person she was ever worried about disappointing. For the seemingly invulnerable Hit Girl, her father was sort of like her Kryptonite. And she misses him terribly.
At the same time, he was also the person who gave up her childhood in pursuit of revenge. She is far too smart and self-aware not to figure out, eventually, that what he was doing to her was wrong.
All in all, his death left her tougher and more guarded than ever.

Abilities & physical limitations:
Abilities-
- Stealthy and quick.
- Highly skilled with weapons, including but not limited to katanas, knives, and guns.
- Skilled in hand-to-hand combat.
- Very sneaky and clever.
Limitations-
- Skilled as she is, she's still rather petite, and it is possible for her to be overpowered by a larger, more physically strong opponent.
- All the usual human things, getting stabbed, bullet to the head, so on.

Appearance:
Notable AU differences from canon, if applicable: There's not really any differences except for the fact that, while this is mainly movie!Hit Girl, there are some little details about comic!Hit Girl that I like to incorporate too. Best of both worlds!

Strife Specibus: Swordkind
Prototyping: she will prototype the sprite with a Hello Kitty figurine
Title: Assassin of Pride. It's both a reference to her own sense of superiority and how people have a tendency to underestimate her and then end up saying things like 'I can't believe I got my ass kicked by a little girl.'
In-game abilities: Not sure yet.
Planet: Land of Pillows and Plague

She'd killed countless people in countless ways. She'd been attacked and shot at and beaten to a pulp. She'd watched her father burn alive. And still the first day of school--her first day of school /ever/--had Mindy Macready shaking in her Chucks. She laid out the outfit she was going to wear and changed it around twice.
She packed, unpacked, and packed her school supplies into the pink backpack Marcus had bought for her. Then she slipped her butterfly knife into one of the side-pockets. Just in case.

Marcus saw the knife handle sticking out and grabbed it before she could sneak past the door. "Mindy, you can't take that. No weapons."

"Why not?" Mindy couldn't help but let a little bit of a whine creep into her voice. She never went anywhere unarmed.

"It's the school policy, not just mine," said Marcus.

"That's retarded." Mindy made a face and crossed her arms.

"And anyway," Marcus continued, "you don't need a knife. You don't need to fight at all. Just smile and act friendly and I bet you'll have a dozen friends in no time."

Right. She was doubtful, but she kept it to herself. Marcus was a nice enough guy.

The car ride to the school was far too short, and with a hug and a "secret handshake" (which Mindy had earlier dubbed as lame but secretly enjoyed), she was out the door. Mindy kept her head held high and a smile on her face. Maybe this will be fun, she thought, skipping up a small flight of stairs as she made her way through the courtyard. Maybe it won't be that bad after all.

A pair of boys skulked up behind her. "Heeey," said one of them, a tall, stocky guy with a shaved head.

"Hey, new kid," said the other, shorter and skinnier, with long, stringy red hair. He held out his hand.

"Hi." Mindy's smile widened and she reached out to shake it, but the boy pulled his hand away, holding it flatter, in the universal sign for "gimme." Her smile faded.

"Lunch money," the redhead demanded, while his cohort smirked. "Now!"

Mindy looked from one to the other--smirky rat faces just begging to be punched. I'll listen to Marcus starting...a minute from now, she thought. These fuckers are just asking for it. With a grin, she cheerfully cracked her knuckles.
